Star Algae Freeze Dried Powder
We prepared our Freeze-Dried Powder line. Freeze drying and lyphilization are synonymous. Freeze drying is a water removal process typically used to preserve perishable materials, to extend shelf life or make the material more convenient for transport.
Freeze drying works by freezing the material, then reducing the pressure and adding heat to allow the frozen water in the material to sublimate.
The aim of freeze-drying algae is to obtain a readily water-soluble algae which have the same characteristics as the orginal product after the re-addition of water.
Freeze drying is often considered the "Gold Standard" of dehydration and drying processing in term of overall quality.

- Despite being dried, the algae cells are intact.
- Once rehydrated, the algae would be fresh like live cells. The drying sublimation process has a maximum temperature of 30˚C to preserve the nutrient content.
- Rich in fat, PUFAs, balanced in EPA and DHA.
- The uniformity of cell size is perfect for filter feeding zoea larvae.
- High cell density of more than 2.5 billion cells/gram.

Usage Instructions
- Use 5 – 10g for 1 million larvae, 3 – 5 times/day.
- Dosage can be adjusted depending on the needs of the larvae.
- Note: Adjusting the dose to suit the unique conditions of each hatchery will make different results.
